Is a 4GB Graphics Card Suitable for Gaming and Professional Work?

It’s interesting that there is such a huge question about this. Let me be very frank and tell you that 4GB of Vram on your GPU is great if you want to get into gaming at 1440p or higher resolutions. I don’t think it’s the best choice for 1080p gaming (unless you plan on getting an SSD and running all games at very high textures as well) but 4GB of Vram is a much better choice than say 2 GB.

Is 4GB Graphics Card Good For Gaming

Is a 4gb graphics card good for gaming?

It depends on the games you play and what resolution you want to play at. But 4GB is generally good enough for 1080p gaming if you have a decent processor, that being said it’s not always better than 2 GB of Vram, sometimes 2 GB is better depending on the situation.

In order to play games at 1080p with 60+ FPS, you need a good CPU for that or else your GPU will bottleneck it and you won’t get what you paid for. Most mid-high-end cards are more than enough for this resolution but if you want to play at 1440p which is the best resolution for PC gaming then you will need high-end GPU’s like the GTX 780ti or higher.

4GB graphics card is good enough for 1080p but not 1440p in most cases so I would say that 4GB isn’t necessary if you plan on getting a 1070,1060, or RX 480. But if you have a bit more to spend then the NVIDIA GTX 1070 8GB is a great choice for 1440p (and 1080p) and it’s not too expensive either. The 1050ti and RX 470 are also good choices if you want to play at 1080p with 60+FPS so those should do just fine as well.

If you want very stable performance for 1440p and above then definitely get a 10 series GPU those cards can handle those resolutions very well at max settings.

But the bottom line is that 4GB of Vram isn’t necessary if you want to play games at 1080p with 60+ FPS so it’s basically personal preference whether you want more performance or not. It won’t help if your PC is bottlenecking your GPU so it would be better to get a decent CPU for gaming because that’s also necessary if you want good fps.

So 4GB isn’t really necessary but it will help boost performance with higher resolutions and more demanding games. So if you have a high-end GPU then do consider getting 4gb Vram although it may not be necessary depending on the situation.

And if you don’t have much to spend then GTX 1050ti is a good choice for 1080p,1060 6GB will also do just fine if you got a bit more to spend. And if you want to step in the next level then 10 series GPUs are definitely for you.

4gb graphics card for gta 5?

Well it can run most of the games at medium to high settings. You have to understand that GTA V is a very very demanding game and most of the PC’s struggle to play this game with stable fps. So your best shot would be to upgrade your GPU first and then see if you wanna go for 4gb graphics card or not. Upgrading a graphics card is a very good idea in general because you can play every game on ultra settings with stable fps for many more years to come. There are people who still play GTA IV with ultra textures and they have a moderate PC but it doesn’t bottleneck their GPU at all. So pretty much upgrading your GPU will also give you better performance in newer games as well.

is 4gb graphics card good for fortnite?

Fortnite is a super casual game so 4GB of anything should be more than enough for playability. The graphic quality is very low and it mostly depends on the CPU if you want to get a good fps in fortnite. That being said, GTX 1050ti will do just fine with fortnite since it’s a very low-demanding game and it’s also very popular so even if you get a 4gb version of 1050ti it will be good enough for fortnite and other games as well. So if you want to save some money and play at 1080p with more than 60fps then 1050ti is a good choice.

is 4gb graphics card for video editing?

If you plan on editing videos then 4GB of vram is more than enough for 1080p and 1440p as well. You can edit full hd footage with ease even on lower settings so I don’t think getting a 10 series GPU will help you. But it’s still always better to progress gradually so I would suggest buying a 1050ti if you want to edit videos at 1080p. If you want to step up then 1060 6GB is the best bang for your buck in terms of performance/price ratio (for 1440p).

So like I said before, 4gb graphics card isn’t really necessary but it’s definitely something worth thinking about if you plan on editing videos at 1440p or playing games in 1440p (with high-end GPU).

But if your budget is limited then 1050ti should be good enough for 1080p video editing.

is 4gb graphics card enough for architecture design work

is 4gb graphics card enough for architecture design work?

Yes, 4GB of Graphics card is more than enough for architecture design work. But I would still suggest getting a 10 series GPU since 4GB 1050ti or RX 470 are not really good choices if you want to play 1440p videos or games so it would be better to get NVIDIA GTX 1070 8GB which is currently the best choice for 1440p and it’s also not too expensive. So in conclusion 1070 is a great choice for 1440p and 1050ti will be fine if you just want to play 1080p videos or games, and architecture work.

is 4gb graphics card enough for rendering?

Yes, 4GB is more than enough for rendering because the rendering process does not depend on GPU. It depends on the CPU if you want to get a good fps in rendering then either upgrade your CPU or buy a new one.

So for gamer’s 1050ti is a great choice since it will be more than enough for playing games at 1080p and 1440p. But for rendering, you need to upgrade your CPU so I would suggest buying Intel i5 8400. It’s currently the cheapest high-end processor and it will give high performance for rendering or gaming at 1080p/1440p.

is 4gb graphics card enough for deep learning?

Deep learning or machine learning is also not dependent on Graphics cards so 4GB 1050ti will be more than enough for deep learning. But if you want to play games at 1440p then 10 series GPU’s are the best choice because 4GB of Vram won’t be that helpful compared to 1060 6GB or 1070 8GB. So I would suggest getting GTX 1060 6GB or 1070 8GB which is currently the best choice for 1080p, 1440p, and 4k.

is 4gb graphics card good to have?

For gamers yes because 1050ti is a decent budget GPU that will deliver you decent performance at low settings in most of the games at 1080p and it will be enough for playing games at 1440p (if you get 1060 6GB) so I would suggest getting 1050ti if you want to save some money and still have decent performance in most of the games. But if your budget is limited then the 4GB version might be a good choice but in the long term, 1050ti or RX 470 will not be good enough for 1440p so I would suggest buying 1060 6GB or 1070 8GB if your budget is limited to 1080p/1440p.

But if you are editing videos or rendering then 4GB 1050ti won’t be helpful because the GPU doesn’t matter in these fields. So I would suggest getting NVIDIA GTX 1070 8GB which is the recommended graphics card for 1080p and 1440p.
